lyrics
I have a lot of friends who think vampires are sexy
They sparkle and shine and they never get messy
And they’re always in love, and they never drink blood
And they’re pretty and misunderstood and depressing
Bela Lugosi’s not dead, he’s just resting
Bela Lugosi’s not dead, he’s just resting
Bela Lugosi’s not dead, he’s just resting
Bela Lugosi’s not dead, he’s just resting
I remember the days when lycanthropy meant something
No time for romance, you’d rather be hunting
The thrill of the chase as they’d scream at your face
Oh Wolfman, how could you have guessed what was coming?
Lon Chaney Junior’s not dead, he’s just resting
Lon Chaney Junior’s not dead, he’s just resting
Lon Chaney Junior’s not dead, he’s just resting
Lon Chaney Junior’s not dead, he’s just resting
Those simpler times, when a monster could blossom
When the good guys were good, and the bad guys were awesome
When a man could change shape and look great in a cape
And still tear you to pieces the minute you crossed him
Bela Lugosi’s not dead, he’s just resting
Bela Lugosi's not dead, he's just resting
Bela Lugosi's not dead, he's just resting
Lon Chaney Junior's not dead, he's just resting
Boris Karloff's not dead, he's doing Christmas specials
Bela Lugosi's not dead
I could listen to Lauren sing forever. Her writing is vivid and sensitive, sweetly and painfully human--never apologizing for sharp corners and rough edges. The beauty of her spirit shines through. Summer Russell

This is a wonderful recording. For a live recording the quality is amazing. The vocal balance with voice and piano is perfect. I very much enjoyed the stories between the songs, they enriched the meaning of the songs. Anyone who is interested in mythology and a wonderful story teller who does so with music, this is for you Kathleen SLOAN
